Wasted Generation (IT)

The young Italian sextet Wasted Generation was founded in 2019, a year marked by personal growth for the group during which ideas, influences and a passion for jazz and its modernity transformed into a shared musical journey that is still evolving. With all members born between 1996 and 2000, Wasted Generation has felt the need to create a new community, perhaps less mature in age but full of ideas, values and personalities. “We want to emphasize this aspect of our identity because, despite the not-so-compromising adjectives, the term ‘generation’ is what unites us the most.”

Last year, they released their first album Wasted Generation-Introducing which focuses on free contemporary jazz, melodic explorations and an avant-garde approach to improvisation. The group offers spirit and vitality in combination with distinctive contributions from each group member and inventive solos. Wasted Generation’s jazz is ambitious and contemporary with a few soulful touches.
