12 December 2019

Since its founding in 2005, Winter Jazzfest has cemented a reputation as a hotbed of cultural discovery, presenting new and exciting sounds and scenes throughout New York. This year, four cutting edge Dutch acts – most of them former inJazz showcases – are given a prominent and very own night at Nublu!

Sounds of the Dutch Jazz Underground
Four Dutch groups will showcase their talent at Winter Jazzfest on 12 January 2020: Binkbeats, Niels Broos & Jamie Peet (photo), Tineke Postma Freya and Tin Men & The Telephone. Sounds of the Dutch Jazz Underground is a showcase night at Nublu, New York. The groups are selected by Winter Jazzfest in cooperation with Mike Bindraban of Good Music Company, supported by Dutch Performing Arts, Buma Cultuur and Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York. A Dutch, progressive contemporary jazz night that combines improvised music, electronics, visuals and interactive technology. This is the sound of the Dutch underground, the sound of today. A great example of Dutch jazz export.
