Livestreaming and copyright: are you covered?

You are stuck at home, but you want to be visible. You want to reach your audience. You want to express yourself. So… you set up a livestream! Play new music, old music, cover tunes. Either on your own or in a small group – or with friends, connected via an internet connection. Although you may not charge any money for your livestream, you know that it may bring you a few cents too.

Have you really thought this through? What if livestreaming must become your source of income in the near future? Host Martijn Crama will discuss approaches, choices and opportunities with artists and composers Margriet Sjoerdsma and Martin Fondse and Buma/Stemra’s Manager Online, Michiel Laan. Questions? Feel free to ask!

In addition, Fondse is a much sought-after mentor and orchestra leader. He has received many (inter)national awards including the Buma Boy Edgar Prize 2017, Prémio da Música Brasileira 2017, Zilveren Notenkraker (2016, with the Nationaal Jeugd Jazz Orkest) and the Edison Award Jazz National (2012).
