Look back on injazz’s June sessions as we look forward!
3 August 2021While we are preparing the second line-up of inJazz online showcases for November 3rd and 4th, you can still enjoy the first round, as streamed in June. Haven’t seen Aviv Noam Quartet, Doppler Trio, Idema/Serierse Quartet, K.O.Brass, Kruidkoek, Prashant Samlal Quartet, Sanem Kalfa-George Dumitriu-Joachim Badenhorst or Tijn Wybenga & AM.OK? Check these gigs at live.injazz.nl. All were recorded at these fine venues: BIMHUIS, LantarenVenster, TivoliVredenburg, Paradox.
All inJazz artists for 2020 have been selected by a committee comprising the programmers of partnering venues as well as NPO Radio 2 Soul & Jazz presenter and producer Co de Kloet. On the Saturday following the June sessions, Co de Kloet dedicated his show Co Live! to inJazz. You can still listen to (or download) that show as a podcast in the app: nporadio2.nl/soulenjazz/app.
Jazz FM radio presenter Ruth Fisher was a guest at inJazz’s B2B sessions in June. She has been playing tracks from the inJazz sessions in her shows Full Circle and Performance Series on Jazz FM in June and July. You can still catch up on these shows through Mixcloud, starting here: mixcloud.com/RuthieNotesandTones/full-circle-on-jazzfm-20-june-2021 and mixcloud.com/RuthieNotesandTones/performance-series-on-jazzfm-21-june-2021.
Furthermore, we are pleased to report that from July 30th the inJazz June showcases appear on jazzed.com, “The first app dedicated to jazz, soul and blues”. For now, Jazzed.com is available in the UK and Germany. The videos are published throughout August, two per week.
And while we are at it, we would like to remind you one last time that you can (re)watch the four inJazz and Dutch Performing Arts supported groups from the Netherlands that played at jazzahead!’s digital edition this year, at jazzahead.de/#video.
