Pension Homeland – Wednesday afternoon (on invitation only)
Kattenburgerstraat 5, Amsterdam
Pension Homeland is an extraordinary hotel at a unique location, namely the former historic naval base of Amsterdam – a walled, green oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam city-life. The building itself is detached and has beautiful views on all sides. The many windows offer a wide view of the park, the mysterious terrain, the water of the Oosterdok and the countless towers of Amsterdam. Inside you’ll find an interior that takes you back to the time when the building was built. A vintage 60s design done to perfection and not to be found anywhere else.

BIMHUIS – Wednesday evening
Piet Heinkade 3, Amsterdam
BIMHUIS needs no introduction as the most iconic jazz club of the Netherlands. Since 1974 BIMHUIS is a hub in the national and international network of groundbreaking music. The early days were full of enthusiastic, progressive initiatives in jazz. BIMHUIS was created for and by musicians, a place where the traditional approach was kicked into touch, but where you got paid fairly too. Over the decades BIMHUIS professionalized in many ways, and in 2005 the current venue and café opened doors on the Piet Heinkade. Their activities are manyfold. Jazz history and young talent go hand-in-hand, concerts are live streamed and can be watched back 24/7 at BIMHUIS Radio & TV.

Batavierhuis – Thursday afternoon
Pieter de Hoochweg 108, Rotterdam
The monumental Batavierhuis is an independent makerspace and incubator for (young) enterprising artists. In the Batavierhuis, all the smaller Rotterdam music threads, as diverse as the city itself, are fused into one big network. The building has an intimate stage where music is programmed, played and supported by the ‘Batavians’ themselves. Besides concerts, there is room for try-outs of productions that are still in a conceptual phase. Musical output at the Batavierhuis stands for improvisation, spontaneous jam sessions, workshops, master classes and more.

LantarenVenster – Thursday evening & Friday afternoon & evening
Otto Reuchlinweg 996, Rotterdam
LantarenVenster is the theater for the better film and the best jazz in Rotterdam. With more than 9600 film screenings per year, more than 120 concerts, various major festivals, education projects, conferences and other public events, there is always something to experience seven days a week.

Club MOOD – Thursday evening
Otto Reuchlinweg 999, Rotterdam
In the former building of restaurant Las Palmas, you can go to MOOD Rotterdam for Asian dishes, including sushi boats and good cocktails. Asian and French cuisine, classic look with a personal character, MOOD by Eveline Wu combines a modern and trendy interior with excellent international cuisine. Next to the restaurant MOOD Rotterdam has created a new seperate area including a luxury cocktail bar. The place to gather before dinner, a Friday afternoon drink, or a stylish night out.

Studio NAVB – Thursday evening
Entrance via Club MOOD
The former workshop building of the Holland-America Line is located on the Wilhelminakade in Rotterdam. Also known as the Las Palmas building. A culture warehouse on the Kop van Zuid where the Nederlands Fotomuseum is located. In the same building, in the middle of this cultural and international environment, you will find the Nederlandse Fotovakschool (FVS), faculty of the Dutch Academy for Image Creation. An inspiring photography location on the water where students are trained as photographers of the future.

De Kaai (former margarine factory) – Thursday evening (NSRT program)
Nassaukade 3, Rotterdam
The head of Rotterdam’s Feijenoord neighbourhood is a special place. For more than a century it was a closed-off site, but in the coming years the former Margarine Factory on the southern banks of the river Maas will transform into an atmospheric place to live, work and enjoy. In the meantime, there will be space for culture and music, of which North Sea Round Town will be the first to experiment with the versatile venue.

Van Nelle Fabriek – Friday evening (NSRT program)
Van Nelleweg 1, Rotterdam
The Van Nelle Fabriek is a remarkable concrete, steel and glass structure. Once the most modern factory in the Netherlands, and Europe’s first daylight factory. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 2014, it is an unusual event location, office complex and museum. An inspiring meeting place for creative minds, entrepreneurial types, conference and trade fair visitors, partygoers and architecture lovers from all over the world. The Van Nelle Fabriek captures the energy and spirit of the city of Rotterdam.
