NJJO IX and Reinier Baas release Hokus Kaleidoskopus

The Nationaal Jeugd Jazz Orkest (NJJO) IX and artistic leader Reinier Baas release their new album Hokus Kaleidoskopus today, 18 September 2026.

Opus Kaleidoskopus

The album is the result of the orchestra’s two-year collaboration with Baas and brings together sixteen young musicians in a distinctive mix of jazz, pop and contemporary music. The repertoire was developed as part of Opus Kaleidoskopus, which the orchestra performed at festivals including Grachtenfestival and North Sea Jazz this summer. The musicians themselves also contributed compositions, arrangements, artwork and videos. Earlier singles ‘Agnes’, ‘Hokus Pokus Kaleidoskopus’ and ‘All I Want’ offered a first taste of the album.

Hokus Kaleidoskopus is available on streaming platforms and on vinyl via Reinier Baas’s webshop.
