Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw

Friday, October 3, 2025 - Orange Jazz Days 2025, TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht

The Concertgebouw Jazz Orchestra presents a special tribute to the idiosyncratic and brilliant Misha Mengelberg. As part of its Dutch Jazz Heritage series, the orchestra delves into the musical universe of this legendary composer and pianist, whose playful and adventurous spirit has left a lasting mark on Dutch jazz. Expect a concert filled with quirky melodies, surprising improvisations, and the distinctive blend of humor and experimentation for which Mengelberg was renowned.
