Koosje & João Erbetta

Koosje (Koosje Sekreve) is a Dutch singer-songwriter with a warm, expressive voice that effortlessly weaves together neo soul, folk, jazz, and R&B. She grew up in a musical and theatrical family, sang opera as a child, and pursued her studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2016. With her debut album It’s Time (February 2023), she caught the attention of giants like Gregory Porter, David Crosby, and Lalah Hathaway.

In 2020, Koosje met Brazilian guitarist, composer, and producer João Erbetta. He is known for his work on the soundtracks of Netflix series such as Coisa Mais Linda and Girls from Ipanema. In 2020, in Vila Nova de Gaia (Portugal), together they recorded the EP Gaia, an atmospheric mix of bossa nova, neo soul, and folk with songs in both Portuguese and English. Their collaboration resulted in the album One More (May 2025), in which João contributes prominently as a guitarist in addition to his role as producer.

The chemistry between Koosje and João is both musical and personal: their dialogues between voice and rich guitar parts give their joint work an intimate, colorful depth. The result is a unique sound world where jazzy grooves and folk influences harmoniously meet.

Filmed and recorded live in May 2025.
